Got good news and 'bad news'.....The good news is a most favorable report on the stimulation of our senses during our recent 19 day trip around and in the 'Nordic Countries' plus Russia, Germany, Poland and Iceland.   The bad new is a return weight of 228.2.....EAT AND DRANK MY ASS OFF (actually on). However, I shall not be swayed from my goal of 200 or below by Thanksgiving.  Decided to return to the Gym as the only place I can really do a 'cardio/resistance' workout in this climate.  Besides, the hardest part of returning to the Gym is 'GETTING THERE'.

221.8 this AM and 219.6 after 'big sweat' yesterday.  Doing 25 pushups each day and seeking to execute with 'perfect form'..... not there yet.  Been eating one meal a day for about the last 3-4 days and seem to be OK with that.  Still need to hydrate more.  About a week to go to get below 220.....I will make it.

222.0 this morning....30 pushups last three days.  Starting to 'see it'..... Not much needed cardio or sweat but am hydrating a bit more....Helene is helping with this.....  Still need to reduce 7 more lbs before departure on 8/5/16 to meet interim goal.

Ureka..... 223.8 this AM!!!  Must do a 'sweat walk' today....missed last two days but have eaten much less.  Last three days have done 25-25-26 push ups....getting more firm 'pecs'.....  New....was 221.6 after my 'sweat walk'... Hip Hip HooRaaaay

225.6 this morning ..... going down.  Too hot to go outside and sweat via exercise plus the Sun's too dangerous!!  Still doing good at 'the table'.  Did 20 push ups today and also going up but my left shoulder (anterior deltoid) aches like hell....partly due to the pushups but mostly due to the downward titration of the 'prednesone' I've been on.  Mayby the exercise will eventually be good....HOPE SO.  Not exactly sure what to do about the aching....heat, cold, pills??????

226.6 this morning.  Going down (slowly).  Still 11 lbs from goal weight prior to 'trip' (Aug 6).   I WILL MAKE IT!!

227.0 this morning.  Keeping down but have slowed decline rate.  Need to do more regular 'sweats' (missed 3 days in a row).  Tried to evaluate my strength and did push-ups ....sadly, was only able to do 15.  I will try to do them daily.

226.2 this morning.  Did a three mile 'sweater' yesterday (almost passed out)...too much in 100+ heat.  Weighed 224.6 after.  Am feeling much more 'alive' these days, which is a good feeling.  Still need to hydrate more.  Sleeping kind of funny.....anxiety dreams.  Saw my knee doctor yesterday and he said 'all is well' and my right knee is at least 3 years away from intervention.  Think I'll cut it back to two miles today until the temp is lower.

Woke up at 226.6.... Still decending...need to do another 'sweat walk' today but this time...NO ICE JACKET!! My kidney's ached this morning and I attribute it to the ice vs 100+ temp during my walk.  Will do one today anatural'.  Salad and steak last night....very good!!  Need to hydrate more during 'non-thirsty' times.

Woke up (BS) at 227.2, continuing on my downward trend.  Will do a sweat today (didn't yesterday).  Still eating sensibly which is making a difference.  Stopped drinking scotch and now have only one glass of white wine before dinner. I desperately want to be in the 'teens' by August, and our trip and then really 'kick it' during September and October, before going North for Thanksgiving. BTW, a "sweat" is a two mile, 35 minute walk in 100+ temps.

Been maintaning proper eating (third day) and did my first 'sweat' yesterday. Weighed 227.8 this am.  Got to keep going with both eating moderately and doing something to sweat everyday.

Morning weight was 229.8 after a discusting, over eating (three meals of red meat and scotch) weekend.  Went for a 35 minute walk with Mom last night after dark, got home about 10 and went right to bed and actually slept pretty well......might do that again.

Saturday morning, 6/18, out of bed weight (OOBW) = 230.0    Must say I was a bit disappointed....my intake has remained the same but I also haven't done any 'real sweating' in a few days either.   No pain, no gain (or loss in this case) I guess.  Think I'll go for a good walk today.

Morning weight was 229.4.  Very hot and humid here and not conducive to much outdoor activity, unless you're up at the 'crack of dawn'.  May go back to the gym for the Summer.  Got nauseous and a little light headed yesterday playing golf. The 'felt' temp was over 100 and the humidity was near the same.  Not my cup of tea.  Feeling a bit better mentally.  Bill, I'm ever impressed with your depth of commitment to self improvement.  When I grow up I want to be just like you!!

The Start....AGAIN

OK....here we go again.   Started at a whopping 236.0 a few days ago and woke up this am (6/15) at 228.7 so at least I'm going in the right direction.  We leave for a European Cruise on August 6th and my goal is to be below 220 by then OR BETTER!  I want to live longer....REALLY!!
